The famous Yorba Linda district

Orange County Tribune, May 25 1910   Open this page in a new window

The man who is sure to be instantly attracted to Yorba Linda is the man who has been investigating other orange districts in Southern California. The superiority of the soil, climate and general conditions is apparent at a glance. A talk with the ranchers of the district is such an enthusiastic endorsement of the claims made by the owners of Yorba Linda that all arguments are ended at once. The great activity may be taken as evidence that men who are investigating and seeking orange land for cultivation appreciate the wonderful opportunities at Yorba Linda.

The Janss investment Company, 320 Pacific Electric Building, Los Angeles, owners of the 3500 acres which comprise the tract, report that the Pacific Electric La Habra line will reach Yorba Linda this summer. This will greatly enhance the value of the property as it will provide easy means of travel and product transportation to Los Angeles. The water problem has been successfully solved and the “no frost” record this year removes every possibility of crop failure. While other districts were smudging and trembling in fear of frosts last winter, no trace could be found at Yorba Linda even with the tenderest vegetables just coming through the ground.
