A deal was completed this week by the Board of the Yorba Linda Public Library whereby the board purchased a site for future use as a library location. It consists of two lots, No. 11 and 12, New mark Tract, a three cornered plot at the intersection of Front and Olinda streets, across the street from the Star office.

The ground has a frontage of 82 feet on Front street, and leaves only one lot between the site and the present library building. The lots were purchased from A. J. Van Strum who lives in Minneapolis Minn.

Members of the Library board are buying the ground as the site for a proposed library building, to be erected at a later date. It is the intention of the board to start a sinking fund out of money received under the present tax rate, not used in upkeep of the present library, and then at a later date erect a new building. In this way money can be saved on the land purchase, and also in interest saved on the building funds.
